ABOUT ME

“I am Milana Shchetkina (but many people call me Millie), I am 14 years old, and I live in Russia, in the city of Bratsk. I’m in the 8th grade.”

“Initially, all of us think that being a model is easy and simple, you just dress cool and everyone looks at you and admires you. But during the year of my training in modeling, I realized that this is absolutely not the case. Being a model does not mean just showcasing your work or yourself to the audience, it also means being a person interested in self-development, helping other people (and sisterhood), the development of local businesses, understanding and working towards reducing environmental problems that surround us. I realized that if you are a model, it means that you need to get out of your comfort zone and fully focus on your modelling goals. I wanted to become a model because I wanted to grow as a person and inspire others to do the same. I am taking part in the Australian competition,SuperModel of the Year’’ because I am interested in the idea of “being true and being who you are’’, and in the idea of true sisterhood, various charities, in the problems of ecology and the extinction of animals.”

“I have a big family and I am the oldest daughter and I think I would like to be a role model and set a good example to my sisters and other young girls.”

“It’s not about whether you win or lose, it’s about how you play.”
