“My name is Keeley Foster, I am 18 years old and live on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. I am originally from the small town of Charleville in Southwest Queensland.”

“I am currently studying Psychology at the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) and have just completed my first year. I really enjoy learning about the mind, and what motivates human behaviour.My other interests include creating art, through drawing, paintings, and photos. One of my Art pieces was exhibited at the GOMA Museum this year, which was really humbling.”

“Modelling is also a creative outlet for me. Working with other creatives to produce the final look for runways, photo shoots or editorials is inspiring. I first found my love for modelling at the age of 13 when I entered a competition by a modelling agency at the Brisbane Exhibition (Show) and was asked back to the agency for an interview. This gave me the confidence to pursue an interest in modelling. At first, it was very exciting however; it didn’t take long to see some of the downsides to the industry, including racial stereotypes, and the misrepresentation of models and I had lost a little of my passion to continue.”

“I then took a break from modelling and started up again when I was 15. I have loved every minute of it, working with the most amazing, inspirational creatives and people in the industry who have become great friends and role models.”

“The main reason I entered The Australian Supermodel of the Year Competition is that I love what ASOTY stands for and what they advocate, and I want to learn how to be a better model and person of influence for the Environment, Diversity and Inclusivity.”

“Coming from an Indigenous background, it is important for me to give our young people a voice, however; being an introverted person at times can prevent me from doing this and I am here to challenge myself to be a better Model, person and advocate.”
