JULIA LAZAREVA

Program Head- ASOTY

An international model with 15 years of experience in more than 20 Fashion Weeks, Julia has been the face of brands like Avon, Estel, City Bank, and many more. Julia has also been featured on the cover page of various international magazines. After travelling extensively & working all around the world, Julia started her own modelling and etiquette school in her small hometown a few years back as a platform to give back to her community. She is  an accomplished fashion photographer and her work has been featured in various magazines. Through her school, Julia supports various charities. She has conducted many events to help orphanages, and animal shelters. 

Julia is currently based in Rusiia but travels for work to India, Indonesia  and other countries frequently. She is also the Creative Director of DIScover India Studios, a creative agency headquartered in India. 

 

CARLA CONLIN

Head of Communication & Social Media

Carla Conlin is our Head of Communication & Social Media. And the Australian Supermodel Of The Year 2019 Curve Winner. She currently works as a curve model, influencer and educator in Melbourne, Australia. Carla believes that being part of ASOTY was a real game changer for her. After her participation in 2019, she chose to stay involved to help support future entrants through this experience. She is extremely passionate about diversity in general and size diversity in particular in the modelling industry, and is actively working to encourage change as well as supporting models who are stepping into this space and facing challenges that come with it. Carla loves animals & dancing. Fave food is Pizza! You may have talked to Carla on our Instagram already but she’s always up for a chat and meeting new people.

DARIA KOVAL

Head of Styling

Daria is a stylist from Moscow and lives between Russia and Bali.

She was always  inspired by style, fashion and design. And believes that absolutely every girl has her own personality, which must be emphasized and highlighted but effortlessly. Daria believes every woman is beautiful and her mission is to make everyonediscover their strengths and feel  beautiful.

Daria is also a brow stylist and believes that eyes are the window into people/s souls. .

She likes to travel and learn something new whenever there is an opportunity. Loves Bali, fell in love with the island a few years ago and decided to make it her second home. She  loves to swim and surf; njoys Latin dancing and acting. She loves shopping and spending time with her husband. 

SOPHIE GIBBS LUDBROOK

MENTOR- Runway & Photoshoots

Sophie ludbrook is the 2019 ASOTY winner. She spent 2017-2019 working as a model in Australia. Now, she has had to put her career on hold while studying medicine in Adelaide. However ASOTY holds a special place in her heart. She is passionate about inclusivity, empowerment and the artistic collaboration that is a part of the ever evolving fashion industry. She hopes that she can utilise the skills she has developed through her time competing in ASOTY alongside as a mentor, to Pursue a career in empowerment of women and their health in regards to access and education equity through medicine and public relations. Sophie is a passionate competitive horse rider, loves her Pilates and wine and is always down for a chat. feel free to connect with her on Social Media to ask any questions or for any guidance.

IZABELLA SPIZICK

Time Management & Organisational Skills Coach

Izabella Spizick is the 2019 fitness winner of ASOTY. Izzy originally entered the world of pageants in 2017, and then moved onward to discover modelling in 2018 while training up to compete in a fitness and bodybuilding state championship. When she learnt about ASOTY and its values, she knew she had to get involved. As a petite model, Izzy is interested in supporting women of all ages, shapes and sizes to be the most confident versions of themselves. From her own experience, modelling can be a strong instrument for empowerment, when surrounded by the right people. Izzy works as a financial civil servant in Tasmania, Australia while studying commerce and information systems. She is also on the board of several local community organisations, including a professional women’s networking and development group.

Being part of ASOTY is a great way for her to give back, and help others get the same benefits from modelling as she has received. She enjoys bringing her unique perspective to the ASOTY team. When she’s not busy with work, study or volunteering, you’ll catch her dancing, listening to tunes or watching asian dramas.

Life Coach

Sarah has been an integral part of the ASOTY Team almost since the inception stage. She is an Accredited Life Coach (B. Bus) who empowers and inspires people to live a life that fulfils their true values and deepest desires.

Through practical activities, Sarah teaches self-worth, self-esteem, values and boundaries, and resilience-building tools that can be relied upon when facing life’s challenges.

Teen Support

“My name is Briana Demaio and I am the Diamond-Editorial Runner-up for 2020. When I became a part of the Australian Supermodel of the Year experience, it changed my whole life for the better. Not only did I grow as a model but also as a person.

With all my knowledge and experience, I would love to help other young individuals as a mentor to step out of their comfort zones and feel confident with who they are and strive to become the best possible versions of themselves.

I am so excited to see what ASOTY 2021 has in store and I would encourage everyone to apply and be apart of this amazing adventure.”

NAKITA WILLIAMS

Grand Finals Program Co-ordinator

Nakita Williams is our teen category Winner from 2019. “Winning the teen category,” Nakita says, “has changed my life. I was lucky to meet so many amazing people in the industry and made some life-long friends.” Nakita continues to be a part of our team and will be In-charge of all the photo shoots and content creation with the finalists in 2021. She currently works as a part time dance teacher and a part time model in Perth, Western Australia. Nakita is an extremely hard working girl who will never give up till she has reached the full potential of whatever she is doing. She has been able to travel to many amazing destinations around the world with her modelling and dancing projects. She thrives to help others grow and achieve through what she has learnt in the industry. Nakita is a very bright and bubbly person and if you’d ever like to get in contact with her don’t be afraid to message.
